Prompt Engineering

The design and testing of instructions, examples, output format, and constraints that guide a model on a task. A prompt is a behavior interface, so it needs versioning, test cases, and acceptance criteria. When failure comes from missing data, poor retrieval, or an unsafe tool, rewriting the prompt merely shifts the problem.
